RULES
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Theme
Open to all themes and genres. No restrictions on subject matter.

Duration
The short film must not exceed 20 minutes (including credits).

Language
English subtitles mandatory for all submissions (including English language films).

Copyright
The film must be original work and free from copyright violations.

Location
The festival is exclusively open to filmmakers across the world.

Production
The film must have been produced after January 1, 2010 for all.
Beyond Frames International Film Festival (BFIFF) – Rules and Regulations
The Beyond Frames International Film Festival (BFIFF) celebrates global storytelling by welcoming filmmakers from all backgrounds to showcase their creativity. By submitting a film, participants agree to abide by the festival’s rules and terms. BFIFF maintains a fair and inclusive platform, ensuring equal opportunity for all entries while upholding professional and technical standards.
General Rules
* BFIFF accepts films completed after January 1, 2010, irrespective of genre, theme, or country of origin.
* Submission does not guarantee selection or screening.
* All award winners will receive an official certificate.
* The festival promotes fairness and evaluates every filmmaker equally.
* Industrial or instructional films are not eligible for submission.
* Films in languages other than English must include English subtitles, failing which they may be rejected.
* BFIFF reserves the right to accept or reject any submission.
* Entry fees are non-refundable, including cases of withdrawal or incorrect category submission.
* The festival does not cover any costs incurred by filmmakers for submission or participation.
* Official Selection status indicates recognition by the jury but does not guarantee public screening.
* Nominated films may be privately screened for the jury before any public presentation.
* BFIFF reserves the right to modify rules at any time; updated terms become effective immediately.
Registration & Submission Guidelines
* Films can be submitted via the official BFIFF website or FilmFreeway.
* All entries must be short films under 20 minutes, including opening and closing credits.
* Films in any language and on any subject are welcome, encouraging diversity and innovation.
* Silent films and experimental works are eligible.
* Submissions must be in a high-quality digital format suitable for screening.
* Detailed technical specifications will be shared upon registration.
* Open to filmmakers of all ages and nationalities.
* Both individual and team submissions are accepted.
* All entries will undergo a selection process conducted by the festival committee.
* Selected films will be screened at BFIFF 2026.
* The registration fee is INR 1000.
